Merry Christmas to All

I would like to thank everyone for a great year once again. Get Hook'd has continued to grow more than I had ever expected or planed. The growth is 100% a credit to the members and viewers because without all of you I would be the only looking at it. I look forward to 2011 and the things to come for the Get Hook'd network of sites. A hint to things to come are a podcast/radio type show and a lot more videos. Several of us are working on starting a short tips/techniques series of videos as well. Hawg Wild Lure Co. Shaky Worm Review

A worm is a worm right? I thought that when I received a sample pack of Hawg Wild Lure Co's shaky worms. At first glance they looked like one of the other thousands of soft plastic worms I have seen over the years. I tossed them up on a shelf with a bunch of stuff waiting to be tested without a second thought. A day or so passed when I seen them sitting there and decided to take them with me to a tournament based on the fact they were black with blue flake and I had been catching keepers on that color.

Get Hook'd would like to extend a warm welcome to FLW Tour Pro Sean Hoernke. Welcome to the Get Hook'd Fishin' Forum. For the past nine years Sean Hoernke has competed at the top level of the sport of professional bass fishing. Upon graduation from Texas A&M University with a business degree Sean set out to qualify for both the Bassmaster & FLW Tours. In his very first year out he qualified to compete on the Bassmaster Tour and has steadily improved his game to multiple national wins. This was not an overnight dream for the young pro. He cultivated a broad base of talents and skills through total dedication since he was 15 years old. Countless hours on the lake and in the classroom made it possible to be successful on the national tours. Sean likes to use this example of determination to help the younger generation of anglers believe that if they work hard and stay focused they can achieve anything they set their minds to!

Hitch Series Trailer Keepers

Anyone who has ever flipped a jig knows the trailer gets pulled down or even completely pulled off at times. With the Hitch Series Trailer Keeper I can put a trailer on and basically forget about it. Get Hook'd Face Lift

New Downloads Page

At Get Hook'd we are always trying to improve not only the site but also we want to help anglers improve. With the new downloads page we will be offering free downloads to help improve your fishing on and off the water. We have added the Anglers eLog which you can customize to fit how and where you fish. We have also added 2010 Bass Fishing Log and Tips by Doc Bass. We will be adding more helpful downloads so be sure to check the downloads page on a regular basis.

More News on Record Bass

The bass was caught by Yukihiro Sawamura. The bait is Japanese swimbait "Sawamura one-up shad" 4 inches with a 1/16oz jighead. More to come as the news comes out. Doug

Possible New Line Class World Record Bass Caught in Japan

Not a lot of info on this yet but it is the second biggest bass caught in Japan. I will try to find more information out asap but here are the details so far. The bass was caught April 10th at Reinbow Dam. The bass weighs in at 20.150lbs(9140g) and is 28" long (71cm). If approved by the IGFA it will rank 12th all time. It is also being submitted as a line class record. If qualified it will be a new world record for 16lb line class. Doug

As you all know I am always working to improve the site and add features for all of you to use. The latest addition to Get Hook'd is a Classifieds page. The link to the Get Hook'd Classifieds is in the link box to the right. It will be free to list any and all fishing products for 30 days. This is a work in progress so if you try to list something and it doesn't work correctly please let me know so it can be fixed asap.
