2nd Annual St. Jude Bass Fishing Tournament

Local teams of bass anglers flocked to the Potomac River in Brunswick on Saturday, February 27, 2010 to participate in the 2nd Annual St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Bass Tournament to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital hosted by 2 Rivers Guide Service, Smoketown Bait & Tackle & WFRE, which raised $1553 from the anglers and 50/50 raffle with JTNS concessions donation forthcoming, which will help benefit the young patients of St. Jude. As engines roared off, leaving behind the waves of not only the desire for the big catch, but the ripples of their philanthropic duty.

The event was not only filled with water sports, but local country radio station WFRE 99.9 and sponsors such as The Anglers; Mayor Jones and Councilman Stull, City of Brunswick; our partner, Andy Smothers, Smoketown Bait & Tackle; Cabela's; Walmart; The Out Door Channel; Skeeter Boats; Steve Fogle, Back Yard Custom Creations; Jim "Pint" Kline, Leather Crafts; Ed Clopper; K&R Engraving; JT&S Concession; HBI Roll Offs; World Fishing Network; Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company; Brunswick Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Company; Bowers Marine; Rob Shaffer; Sam & Toni Donini; Tim Moore; Roy and Matt Hoffman; Maryland DNR; and Sam Baker gave a helping hand, as music and prizes were provided to the fisherman, volunteers, and all involved.

* 3rd Place was Rick Strine and Joey Wright with 8.2 lbs
* 4th Place Randall Sandbower and Steve Deridder 6.2 lbs
* Lunker was Chris Cannon and Jerry Dayhoff with 3.7 lbs
