Win a Fishing Trip With Tim Horton

Alabama Bassmaster Elite Series angler Tim Horton, a former president of the Professional Anglers Association (PAA), is offering a day of fishing to one new PAA member who joins the organization this week at the Bassmaster Classic.

The winner will fish with Horton on famed Pickwick Lake in northwest Alabama, his home water and one of the world’s best for giant smallmouth bass. Horton guided on the Tennessee River impoundment prior to becoming a professional angler and still hones his skills on the legendary reservoir. In addition to the trip, the winning new PAA member will also take home a sponsor prize pack valued at over $250, which includes a Carrot Stix Rod, US Reel, Bass Pro Shops gift card and PAA merchandise.

PAA membership forms with discounted fees, only for this week, will be available in the PAA membership booth of the lounge area in the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex during the Bassmaster Classic Outdoors Expo. PAA representatives will be available to assist fans and interested anglers.

Additionally, a PAA Bass Pro Shops Tournament Series kiosk will be located within the BPS booth in the expo’s sponsor area. That kiosk will also have information about the PAA, including upcoming tournaments and events.

The drawing for the fishing trip with Horton will be held Sunday at 3 p.m., and everyone who joins the PAA at the Classic is automatically entered for a chance to win. The winner doesn’t have to be present to claim the prizes.

The runner-up in the drawing will receive a PAA Member Observer Package for the 2010 PAA Bass Pro Shops Tournament Series event of their choice. This package includes a 3-day Member Observer experience at no charge, along with complimentary lodging and PAA Membership.

A daily drawing will be held for a prize pack to include a Carrot Stix Rod and US Reel combo, along with a BPS gift card and PAA merchandise. The daily prize pack drawings are open to everyone who registers, and contestants can register for these drawings without a PAA membership.

A variety of PAA anglers, including current president John Crews and legends Guido Hibdon and Jimmy Houston, will be making appearances at both booths throughout the weekend.

Membership prices will be discounted to $40 for a general membership, $135 for the advantage membership and $375 for the tour membership in conjunction with Classic festivities.
