Elite Series pro Bill Lowen recently extended his endorsement deal with Buck Knives. The relationship began last season.
According to Buck, the company likes the overlap between fishing and hunting.
Buck national sales and marketing manager Bob George noted: "Our market research showed us the significant overlap of people who both hunt and fish. This first year proved that out as we were welcomed by fishermen with open arms and enjoyed significant growth in our brand image and awareness."
Interestingly, Buck president CJ Buck referenced Lowen's character and his self-reported DQ at Oneida last year. "Integrity is an important trait for a company that began in 1902,” Buck said. "Bill demonstrated his integrity (last) year when he self-reported an infraction at the last tournament. It cost him an appearance in the Classic, but that tells you all you need to know about Bill Lowen and why he was selected the first-ever member of our national pro staff."
Under the deal, Buck will provide knives for special promotions by Lowen at all Elite Series events again this year. Lowen's truck, Skeeter boat and jersey again will feature the popular Feather 'Flage Ducks in a Row camo pattern, along with the Buck Knives logo prominently featured. His new shirt can be seen to right.
