The Lady Bass Anglers Association (LBAA) fully launches out into the deep as 2011 marks their first full year of tournament competition with four tournaments and a tour championship.
“If someone had told me that at some point we would all be running and competing in our own tour, I would have said – not me, I just fish,” LBAA co-founder Secret York said recently. “You know, I’ve said it often times that things always happen for a reason. Its great see that the LBAA is working and that it is going somewhere.”
For any woman who is interested in competing in the 2011 LBAA Tournament season the entry deadline for the season’s opening event at Sam Rayburn is fast approaching. February 15 is the cut-off for tournament entry fees to be paid for the Sam Rayburn event, which is scheduled for March 17-19, 2011. All entry feels for any LBAA tournament are due 30 days prior to the first official day of competition for that tournament. After the cut-off date, there is a $50 late fee.
Prior to the upcoming 2011 LBAA tour, the Lady Bass Anglers Association will having a presence at the upcoming Bassmaster Classic Outdoors Expo in New Orleans. Wilkins Brothers Outdoors is sponsoring the LBAA booth at the Classic Outdoors Expo. The Classic Outdoors Expo is scheduled for February 18-20, 2011 at the Ernest Morial Convention Center 900 Convention Center Boulevard in New Orleans, LA. Look for booth #2022.
The 2011 LBAA Tournaments kick-off March 17-19 at Lake Sam Rayburn in Texas. Stop number two for 2011 is Lake Hartwell in South Carolina. From there the LBAA season moves to Alabama’s Lake Guntersville July 7-9. The fourth and final regular season stop will be northeast of Music City on Tennessee’s Old Hickory Lake August 25-27.
October 6-8, 2011 will be the dates for the LBAA 2011 Tour Championship and LBAA officials will announce the location of the 2011 Tour Championship August 26 at the event at Old Hickory Lake.
All LBAA events will consist of a two-day Pro-Am event on Thursday and Friday of competition days. A Team Charity Event in which proceeds will go to a local charity from the community will follow up the LBAA Pro-Am event on Saturday.
