World Fishing Network Goes Mobile With New App

Proving your "outlandish" fishing story just got a lot easier thanks to a new mobile app developed by WFN: World Fishing Network, North America's only 24-hour fishing lifestyle television network. WFN has released the WFN Fishing Log, a mobile app exclusively for the iPhone and iPad users that enables anglers to record every detail of every catch within seconds of reeling in "the big one."

The WFN Fishing Log is available at iTunes for a special introductory price of $2.99. At the conclusion of the special offer, it will sell for $4.99. Its features include: a live, interactive map with pinpoint GPS; a link to check tide and weather information; a personalized supply checklist for trip planning; a photo gallery to organize every catch; and the ability to wirelessly sync to WFN's new website (WorldFishingNetwork.com) to share information, photos and video.

It is the seamless interface of these functions which allows anglers to easily maximize the power of their iPhone or iPad. With the push of a few buttons, anglers can photograph their catch, record its size, pinpoint its location via GPS, record the time, date and weather conditions, share their catch online and then organize every catch by species, location or any other pertinent detail. In less than a minute, anglers have a permanent record with every detail of the catch.

"Whether it's a low-tech new lure or high-tech fish finder, anglers have always been very accepting of technology to help them catch more fish or improve their fishing experience," said Mark Rubinstein, President and CEO of WFN. "The WFN Fishing Logoffers a seamless interface of all the functions to make it easy for anglers to create a detailed and organized fishing log."

To complement the WFN Fishing Log, WFN has also launched a free mobile version of its redesigned website WorldFishingNetwork.com. The WFN Mobile Portal iscompatible for both the iPad and iPhone. Highlights of the portal include: daily fishing news sorted by regions; extensive video content updated daily; TV schedule for WFN and WFN HD; and access to enter WFN contests wirelessly.

The launch of the WFN Fishing Log and WFN Mobile Portal now gives 50 million anglers one more opportunity to connect their passion for Fishing with WFN's robust mobile platform. In addition to the mobile offerings, WFN also provides TV, on-demand and online platforms.
