Owens Leads Day One at EverStart Series Texas Division Event on Choke Canyon

Kelly Owens of Cowley, La., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 25 pounds, 1 ounce Thursday to lead day one of the EverStart Series Texas Division event presented by Mercury on Choke Canyon. Owens holds a 7-pound, 2-ounce lead going into the second day of competition. The weigh-in Friday will be at Choke Canyon State Park in Calliham, Texas, and start at 3 p.m. The final weigh-in on Saturday will be at Choke Canyon State Park and start at 3 p.m.
