A 6-pound, 7-ounce spotted bass caught by FLW Tour pro Wesley Strader on the Ocoee River was recently certified as a new Tennessee state record. The resident of Spring City, Tenn. hooked the brute while fun-fishing below Parksville Reservoir last July with friend Brad Peterson.
The big bite came on Strader's fifth cast of the day. It eclipsed the previous mark of 5-13, which was caught on the final day of 2008.
