FLW Outdoors announced Tuesday that Damiki Fishing Tackle has renewed its sponsorship with the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization. Damiki first signed on as a sponsor in May 2010 and will continue to aggressively market its impressive lineup of products to the U.S. market.
At the foundation of its efforts is pro staffer Bryan Thrift – one of the best bass anglers in the world. Thrift is fresh off an incredible 2010 tournament season in which he claimed the prestigious FLW Tour Angler of the Year award. In addition to AOY, Thrift won the FLW Tour Lake Norman qualifier and finished in the top 10 an additional six times.
“It’s gratifying to see our sponsors grow their business by implementing our programs,” said Trisha Blake, president of the FLW Outdoors Marketing Division. “We would also like to recognize Bryan. He is one of our premier anglers and has been instrumental in making this relationship beneficial for both parties.”
As part of the sponsorship, Damiki will receive exposure across all platforms of FLW Outdoors, including its tournaments, multiple websites, bass and walleye magazines, and various FLW Outdoors events. In 2011, Damiki will also have a booth at the FLW Outdoors Expo, which coincides with the 10 FLW Tour events and the Forrest Wood Cup. In addition to Thrift, Damiki is also supporting three collegiate teams in 2011 – Chico State, UNC Charlotte (Thrift’s alma mater) and Southern Polytechnic State.
“We are excited to be part of FLW Outdoors again in 2011,” said Rodney Scott, marketing manager for Damiki USA. “We have found a great place to showcase our tackle to all levels of anglers around the world. The response has been huge over the past couple of months. After a great 2010 season, we are now working to expand our college presence. These anglers are the future pros and the life of the sport we love.”
