The ACK 2010 Fish Challenge

Austin Canoe and Kayak (ACK), today announced the 2010 Fish Challenge, an annual catch-and-release kayak-fishing event held on Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas. The challenge offers all types of kayak anglers, including kids and teenagers, a chance to put their kayak fishing skills to the test in the heart of the city.

The event will be held on Sunday, October 24th on Lady Bird Lake and will encompass three divisions: Kid, Fun and Competitive. The Kid Division is open to children 13 years and under while the Fun Division is perfect opportunity for those new to tournaments. For the more experienced anglers, there is the Competitive Division.

"The focus of this event to is to make it fun for everyone. Typically, kayak fishing tournaments have competitors focus on one type of fish over a certain length, in the Kid and Fun Divisions any fish and any size is acceptable." said Justin Fees, Store Manager for the Austin store. "However, we do offer the Competitive Division for the more experienced anglers which has specific requirements to make it a more challenging event".

All participants walk away a winner with prizes ranging from a kayak and kayaking accessories to cash and gift cards. All competitors also get a gift bag that includes an ACK Fish Challenge t-shirt, product samples and other goodies when they sign up.
