Ranger Introduces 220 Bahia Bay Boat

Inshore fishing can take on different meanings depending on which part of the country anglers wish to wet a line. Might be redfish, trout or snook for some; others might prefer striper, tarpon or calicos. But regardless of which inshore waters an angler may roam, versatile equipment is a must - and that versatility should extend to the boat. The new Ranger 220 Bahia, debuting for the 2011 model year, brings versatility, performance and fishing features to suit any style of inshore fishing with accessibility to suit many families and even pier and jetty anglers.

Measuring 21 feet, 5 inches and rated for 150 horsepower, the 220 Bahia is available with a wide range of precision-matched outboards and comes standard with a full complement of must-have fishing features. Ideal for not only inshore anglers but also many inland reservoir anglers and guides, the 220 Bahia features a 7-foot-6-inch port-side rod locker, eight stand-up, rocket-launcher style rod tubes mounted at the console and a wealth of integrated, gel-coated storage on the front deck and at the stern. The custom design is further equipped with stainless steel compression latches, two baitwell/livewells, a fish box and built-in anchor storage.

At the console, the 220 Bahia offers a full array of gauges and rocker switches as well as a custom, marine upholstered leaning post with six additional rod holders, a plex windshield and generous space for modern, large-screen electronics. Passenger seating is integrated in front of the console atop the baitwell/livewell in addition to seating atop the baitwell/livewell at the stern. Easy access to batteries and breakers is available through the access hatch near the transom.

"There are so many anglers that the Ranger 220 Bahia will speak to: from families vacationing on the Florida shores to coastal anglers who live inland, or even striper guides in the big reservoirs around the country - this boat has an interior and hull ideally balanced to open up a world of possibilities," said Keith Daffron of Ranger Boats. "From bow to stern, it's a feature-rich, total performance design with a down-to-earth price. Because it has so many versatile benefits, it's already garnered a wealth of accolades from serious anglers throughout the country."

Like all Ranger boats, the Bahia comes paired with its own custom-built RangerTrail trailer. Designed to perfectly match the boat to ensure years of smooth, easy towing and maneuvering, the Bahia's aluminum trailer is equipped with L.E.D. lights, aluminum wheels and COOL Hub® lubrication system as standard equipment. Designed and built in the same factory and to the same exacting specifications as all Ranger boats, RangerTrail trailers are custom aligned with individually balanced wheels, feature swing jacks that retract flush to the frame as well as torsion axle suspension and locking, swing-away tongues. With matching, stainless steel fenders and matching, full-size spare, the RangerTrail trailer delivers peace of mind when trailering and complement the striking good looks of Ranger boats.
