John Guerra Wins ABA at Lake Belton

John Guerra of Temple Texas was able to hold off 47 anglers to take home first place on Lake Belton, with his win, John is one step closer to the ABA National Championship with a 1st Place finish. John won $735 for his 1st place finish, his 5 bass weighed in at 10.54 pounds. With 9.86 pounds, second place and $485 went to Raymond Gibson. Ronnie Trower had 8.53 pounds for a third place finish and took home $246. Jeff Pitrucha weighed in 7.08 pounds for a forth place finish taken home $201. Otis Mckelly brought in 6.66 pounds fifth place and took home $168. Rex Wheeler, weighed in 6.46 pounds and took home $136. With 6.26 pounds Jody Berger took home $97. Big Bass went to Michael Cooper with a nice 5.40 pound largemouth. These anglers are acquiring valuable points to insure their birth in the division’s two-day championship and the American Fishing Tour National Championship that will be held this fall.
