Barnes, Harper tie for first at Lake Guntersville BFL

Dennis Barnes of Boaz, Ala., caught a five-bass limit weighing 22 pounds even, and Keith Harper of Grove Oak, Ala., caught four bass, also weighing 22 pounds, to tie for first in the BFL Choo Choo Division tournament held Feb. 6 on Lake Guntersville. They each earned $4,400 for the shared win.

Taylor takes Co-angler Division

Wesley D. Taylor of Manchester, Tenn., caught a five-bass limit weighing 18 pounds, 14 ounces to win the BFL Choo Choo Co-angler Division on Lake Guntersville. He earned $2,960.

Looking ahead

The next BFL Choo Choo Division tournament is scheduled for March 13 at Lake Guntersville in Guntersville, Ala. The top 50 boaters and 50 co-anglers from each of the five divisional tournaments will qualify for the Choo Choo Regional Oct. 7 - 9 at Lake Barkley in Kuttawa, Ky. There boaters and co-anglers will compete for top prizes of a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower engine and a Chevy pick-up, respectively, as well as berths into the 2011 BFL All-American championship.
