Frabill continues to live up to their moniker of “Innovating the Outdoors”. One of those innovations is proving to be effective in providing a great catch and release experience for our Tournament Team Class within Little Lunkers Fishing School.
A common pastime here in the Lake Country of Southeastern Wisconsin is the camaraderie that is produced every summer at our various weeknight BIG BASS tournament series. The premise of these events is for the tourney field to hunt for the single biggest bass they can catch between the hours of 6-9 pm. The top 3 bass of the night earn the anglers who tempted them into biting, a weeks worth of bragging rights, a determined number of points, and a bit of cash as well! It has provided a great way to introduce our proficient students to the fun, competitive, and mindful conservation experience that is catch and release tournament fishing.
Further conservation efforts have been provided first hand by our Frabill Livewell Net Liners. The bass we catch this year are not only placed in our livewells, but also in the protective cocoon netting of the Frabill Livewell Net Liner. Once nestled in, our students’ fish experience reduced physical stress as they are not required to struggle to maintain their equilibrium in our livewells while running from spot to spot throughout the night.
During the 9:00 pm weigh-in process, it is a given that daylight and overall visibility is greatly reduced. Frabill’s Livewell Net Liner and its collapsible tube design allow our anglers to efficiently remove their fish without having to chase them about the livewell. This dynamic product also eliminates the possibility of our young anglers having to reach blindly into the livewell and risk injury to themselves or their catch by becoming “spined” by an unsuspecting bass’s dorsal fin.
For $18.99, you too can make this product part of your conservation-minded fishing practice. Its original design will also allow you to keep your minnows separated from your catch and freshly aerated in your boat’s livewell during the hot summer months. Used in this manner, the Frabill Livewell Net Liner has virtually paid for itself as it reduces the chance of bait die-off often seen in your standard bait bucket.
Thank you to the brain trust at Frabill for continuing to “Innovate the Outdoors”! Please visit www.frabill.com and check out the Frabill Net Liner Model 1295.
I can see this being a great product for sure. It will save some bloody fingers and hands from getting poked and will be better for the welfare of the fish. Thanks for the info
ReplyDeleteI'm interested to see how it works with different types of livewells but I think the investment out ways the cost of dead fish and those sneaky ones that jump out of your hands
